The first 2 minutes of the class or work period, you can focus on your tasks such as gathering what you need to turn in and thinking about where you left off yesterday.
The next 5-10 minutes is devoted to assignment organization details (team meetings) and announcement updates regarding deadline progress, special circumstances, and a focus on what needs to be accomplished both today and long term. This is a perfect time for the adviser or editors to present a lesson on an area that needs work, whether it's design, photography, writing, or project management.
During this time, everyone makes sure they know what they have to do during “it” time.
During this 30-35 minute time span, editors work with their team members who concentrate on achieving successful results in tasks that will lead to meeting the deadline. ALL staff members and editors give 100% of their attention to yearbook planning and production.
In the final 5 minutes of the staff time, tie up any loose ends and clean up the room. Editors and teacher make any last-minute announcements.
